I'm Cath, the Founder and Principal of Hands On Bookkeepers. I'm passionate about small business in my community here in the Clarence Valley, NSW and want to empower other small business owners around their finances.
After 20 year with State Government in Queensland working in various roles around the State, I found I had a knack of balancing budgets and working with figures.
I moved to the Clarence Valley in 2013, and worked with an Accountant to gain both experience, and formalise my knowledge by studying Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting.
I soon realised there were small business owners out there, trying to be super-heroes. Not only managing their businesses but also spending all hours trying to keep up with their bookwork using online accounting software which promised to make life easier for them, until it didn't...
Now, not everyone likes numbers and figures, but I do, so after I became a fully fledged BAS Agent registered with the Tax Practitioner's Board, I started Hands On Bookkeepers to give clients peace of mind that their books and more importantly, their ATO compliance, is kept up to date.
I am a Xero only practice and work with small business throughout Australia using latest technologies. When I'm not balancing your
books, you will find me experimenting in the kitchen, garden or walking my rescue dog, Rosie 🐾
